Save Gmail emails to Notion, with every field filled in.

Email Clipper for Notion sits in Gmail's side panel. Open an email, click Save to Notion, and it lands in the database you choose: the subject as the title, the sender, the date, a link back to the original, your labels, the formatted message with its images, and the attachments as real files.

What it does

Your properties, filled

Pick which property gets the sender, the date, the Gmail link, the labels and the attachments. Obvious matches are set for you, and the title is never blank.

The email, readable

Headings, bold, links, lists, quotes and images come across. Quoted reply history is left out; forwarded emails stay whole; tracking pixels are dropped.

Attachments as files

PDFs, images and documents are uploaded into Notion, into a Files property or as blocks on the page, so they open from Notion.

No duplicates

Map the Gmail message ID to a text property and it warns you before the same email is saved twice, even by a teammate.

Built for teams

Every person connects their own Notion account. Shared workspaces work for everyone, not only whoever installed it first.

One click after the first

The database you used last is picked next time. Set fixed values like Status = Inbox on every save.

Help

My database isn't in the list

Notion only lets an integration see databases you have shared with it. In Notion, open the database, click the ••• menu, choose Connections and add the integration. Then click Refresh list in the add-on, or paste the database link under "Database not listed?".

Some properties are empty

Open Edit fields under Fields and pick a property for each part of the email. Each field only offers properties that can hold it (a URL property for the Gmail link, a Date property for the date, a Files property for attachments).

An attachment was skipped

Notion Free accepts files up to 5 MB each. On a paid Notion plan, raise the limit in the add-on's Settings. The page always includes a link back to the original email.

Does it work in the Gmail mobile app?

Google Workspace add-ons also appear in the Gmail app for Android and iOS (open an email, scroll to the add-on icons). Connecting Notion the first time is easiest on a computer.

Privacy

The add-on reads only the email you have open, and only when you open the add-on. The email goes from Google directly to Notion; Great Work's servers never receive it. Our billing service sees your Google account email and a count of saves. Details: privacy for this add-on.
