Lintmend checks a selection, a page or the whole file against your variables, styles, spacing scale and WCAG 2.2. Every issue is grouped by rule and points at the layer, the safe ones fix in one click, and the file gets a score out of 100 you can share. It works on any Figma plan, and everything happens on your computer.

What it checks
- Hard-coded colours, type and effects that aren't bound to a variable or a style, with the nearest variable or matching style named for each one
- Styles that were deleted or come from a library the file no longer uses
- Gaps, padding and corner radius against your scale: multiples of a base, or your own list; pills are fine
- Padding that's almost even, and gaps or padding that differ from same-named siblings
- Text contrast against WCAG 2.2 AA or AAA, measured against the layers behind the text with translucent ones composited; text over photos, video or partly covered backgrounds is flagged for a look
- Tap targets under 24, 32, 44 or 48 px for anything with a click interaction, and button-like instances
- Default names like Frame 12, duplicate sibling names, hidden layers no variant controls, empty frames and text, mixed fonts in one text layer
- Detached instances, and library instances with a newer published version
What it fixes
- Binds the nearest colour variable your variable scopes allow, within a colour tolerance you choose, or applies the colour style
- Applies the matching text or effect style
- Snaps gaps, padding and radius to your scale, or binds the number variable that holds the value
- Evens out padding, renames default layers from their text or layout, numbers duplicate names
- One at a time, when you choose: the nearest text colour variable that passes contrast, deleting hidden or empty layers, updating an instance to its library's latest version
- Fix all safe is one undo step
For the whole team
The scale, contrast level, tap target, rules and an ignore list are saved in the Figma file, so everyone lints with the same settings and the same exceptions. Share the score as a card on the canvas, an image, or a Markdown summary for the pull request, and export every issue as CSV or a PDF report. How it works
What Figma does on its own, and what it doesn't
Figma's Check designs (June 2026) flags hard-coded values, contrast, library mismatches and detached components, but it's for Organization and Enterprise plans, runs one page at a time, can't swap colour styles and has no report or score. Lintmend works on Starter and Professional too, checks every page at once, and adds the spacing and radius scale, auto layout consistency, tap targets, layer cleanup, outdated instances, a shareable score and exports.
What Lintmend doesn't do
It suggests variables and styles from the file and the libraries it already uses, not every library in your team. Contrast is worked out from layers, not pixels, so text over photos is flagged rather than scored. It never changes your design until you click a fix.
