Viewkeep privacy policy
Last updated October 1, 2026. Viewkeep is a Google Sheets add-on made by Great Work LLC.
This page explains what Google and YouTube user data Viewkeep accesses, why, where it goes, how long it's kept, and how to remove it. It adds to the Great Work add-ons privacy policy, which covers billing.
YouTube API Services
Viewkeep uses YouTube API Services. By using Viewkeep you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. YouTube's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
What Viewkeep accesses
- Your YouTube account, read-only (permission: "View your YouTube account"). When you click "Add my YouTube channel", Viewkeep asks YouTube which channel your Google account owns, and reads its public details and statistics (name, handle, subscriber, view and video counts) and those of its videos. Viewkeep cannot upload, edit, delete, comment, like, subscribe or change any setting on YouTube.
- Public YouTube data you ask for: details and statistics of the channels, videos and playlists you add or type into your sheet (titles, publish dates, durations, view, like and comment counts, thumbnails and similar public fields).
- The open spreadsheet. Viewkeep writes stats into tabs it creates in the spreadsheet you have open, and into the columns next to cells you select. It never opens, lists or searches your other files.
- Your email address, to look up your free trial or subscription, and to show collaborators who set up a spreadsheet's daily snapshot.
How it's used
Only to show you the stats and history you asked for. YouTube data is read by Google Apps Script inside Google, under your account, and written into your own spreadsheet. It goes nowhere else.
What reaches our servers
Only your Google account email address and the number of free-trial uses you've made (and, if you subscribe, your Stripe subscription status). Your YouTube data and spreadsheet contents are never sent to or stored on Great Work servers.
What's stored, where, and for how long
- In your spreadsheet: current stats tabs (rewritten on every refresh), history tabs (one row per channel or video per day, IDs and numbers only), a growth table, and a hidden lookup tab of current names.
- History of channels you own is kept while you use Viewkeep. Each snapshot confirms the channel is still yours, and at least every 30 days Viewkeep confirms saved videos still exist; rows for deleted or unavailable videos are removed. If a channel stops being yours, its rows older than 30 days are removed.
- History of channels you don't own is deleted after 30 days (YouTube API Services Developer Policies). Titles and other details are refreshed on every snapshot and never stored in history rows.
- In Google's add-on storage: your watchlist, column choices, schedule and kept fill ranges (properties of the spreadsheet); your daily request count, an optional YouTube API key you choose to add, and review-prompt state (your add-on user properties).
- Viewkeep does not set cookies or store anything on your device beyond what Google Sheets itself does.
Sharing
We don't sell, rent or share Google or YouTube user data. We don't use it for advertising, and we don't use it to develop, improve or train AI or machine-learning models. No person at Great Work reads your YouTube or spreadsheet data, unless you ask us to for support and give permission, or the law requires it.
Limited Use
Viewkeep's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Removing your data
- In Viewkeep, open Settings and click Delete Viewkeep data in this spreadsheet. It removes Viewkeep's tabs, watchlist, schedule and trigger right away. This does not change anything on YouTube; to delete data on YouTube itself, use YouTube.
- Revoke Viewkeep's access to your Google and YouTube data at any time at security.google.com/settings/security/permissions. After you revoke access, Viewkeep can no longer run; any tabs left in your spreadsheet are yours to delete.
- Remove the add-on from Extensions > Add-ons > Manage add-ons.
- To delete your billing record, email hello@greatwork.company from that account. We act on deletion requests within 7 days.
