Cellendar privacy policy
Last updated September 30, 2026. Cellendar is a Google Sheets add-on made by Great Work LLC.
This page explains what Google user data Cellendar accesses, why, where it goes, and how to remove it. It adds to the Great Work add-ons privacy policy, which covers billing.
What Cellendar accesses
- Your Google Calendar events (permission: "See, edit, share, and permanently delete all the calendars you can access using Google Calendar" is not requested; Cellendar asks only for "View and edit events on all your calendars"). It creates, updates and deletes the events your sheet rows describe on the calendar you choose, reads those events back so edits made in Calendar can be copied into your sheet, and reads the events in a date range you pick when you use Import.
- The spreadsheet you set up. It reads the rows of the tab you choose and writes a status column and two hidden columns (each row's event id and sync state) into that tab. If you turn on automatic sync, it opens that one spreadsheet on a schedule. It never lists, searches or opens your other files.
- Your email address, to look up your free trial or subscription.
How it's used
Only to provide the syncing you asked for. Calendar and sheet data is processed by Google Apps Script inside Google, under your account. It is moved between your spreadsheet and your calendar and nowhere else.
What reaches our servers
Only your Google account email address and the number of free-trial uses you've made (and, if you subscribe, your Stripe subscription status). The contents of your events and spreadsheets are never sent to or stored on Great Work servers.
What's stored, and where
- Your sync settings (column choices, calendar id, time zone, schedule) are stored in Google's add-on properties for your spreadsheet and your account.
- Each row's event id and sync state are stored in hidden columns in your sheet.
- Events Cellendar creates carry a private tag (a short code derived from the spreadsheet and tab ids) so the sheet can find them again. It contains no personal data.
Sharing
We don't sell, rent or share Google user data. We don't use it for advertising, and we don't use it to develop, improve or train AI or machine-learning models. No person at Great Work reads your event or spreadsheet data, unless you ask us to for support and give permission, or the law requires it. If you turn on guest invitations, Google Calendar (not Cellendar) emails the guests listed in your rows.
Limited Use
Cellendar's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Removing your data
- Turn off automatic sync in Cellendar's Automate tab, then remove the add-on (Extensions > Add-ons > Manage add-ons) to stop all access.
- Revoke access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- Delete the "Cellendar" columns from your sheet to remove the stored ids. Events already created stay on your calendar until you delete them.
- To delete your billing record, email hello@greatwork.company from that account.
