Loopkiln
GIF and video export for Figma prototypes
Pick a prototype flow and Loopkiln plays it screen by screen with the delays, transitions and easing you set in Figma, then saves it as a GIF, an MP4, a WebM, an APNG or an animated WebP. Smart Animate in-betweens are rendered by Figma itself. It works for any frames in a row and for a component's variants too, and everything is encoded on your computer.

What you get
- Prototype flows read screen by screen: timed connections first, click paths you choose, loops back to the start when the prototype does
- Smart Animate in-betweens rendered by Figma: layers with the same name move, resize, turn, fade and change colour; springs and back curves overshoot
- Dissolve, Move in, Move out, Push and Slide drawn from the real screens
- Any selected frames (or a section of them) in canvas or layer order, or a component's variants; interactive components follow their Change to connections
- A hold time, transition, direction and easing per screen, saved with the file
- GIF with one palette for the whole animation, ordered or Floyd-Steinberg dithering, frames that store only what changed, and a file size limit that tells you what it changed to fit
- MP4 (H.264) and WebM (VP9) up to 60 fps with your computer's own video encoder; APNG and animated WebP with transparency
- Presets for Slack, docs, social video, slides, websites and stickers; loop forever, once or a set number of times
- A free preview in the panel at the real timing
What it doesn't do
Loopkiln exports what Figma renders. It can't run Figma's prototype player, so it doesn't record hover states, scrolling, video layers or variables changing while you click. Smart Animate is rebuilt from your layers: position, size, rotation, opacity, corner radius and solid colours are animated; gradients, effects and vector shape changes switch halfway, and the export tells you when that happens. There's no Lottie export: Lottie needs vector keyframes, and Figma's own Motion exports Lottie for animations made on its timeline.
