Chartlark privacy policy

Your designs and your data

Chartlark draws charts into your Figma file and reads your file's paint styles, text styles and colour variables (and colour variables from libraries enabled in the file) so you can pick them. Data you paste or upload is read inside the plugin window on your computer and is never sent to us or anyone else.

When you link a Google Sheet, the plugin reads it directly from Google's Sheets API. When you link a JSON file, it reads it from that site (GitHub or npoint). None of these requests pass through Great Work's servers, and those sites see your IP address as with any web request.

What the plugin stores

• In Figma's plugin storage on your computer (figma.clientStorage): your settings (including the last Sheets or JSON link and the look of your last chart), your trial counter, your license key and a cached copy of your license status.
• In your Figma file, on each chart: its settings, the link it came from, and a copy of the data it was drawn from, so you can edit or refresh it later. This stays in the file, visible to anyone with access to the file, until you delete the chart.

What we receive

• License checks (addons.greatwork.company): your license key, the product id, your Figma user id and display name (so the buyer can see which accounts use their seats), and your IP address in server logs kept for up to 14 days.
• Purchases: Stripe collects your name, email and payment details on its own checkout page. We store your email, the Stripe customer and subscription ids, your license key (as a one-way hash) and its activations.

We keep purchase and license records while your license exists and for as long as tax law requires afterwards. Email hello@greatwork.company to see or delete your data.

Third parties

• stripe.com: payments and billing portal
• resend.com: sends your license key and billing links by email
• DigitalOcean (New York): hosts addons.greatwork.company
• Google (Sheets API), GitHub and npoint: only the requests you trigger by linking them

No analytics, advertising or AI services are used, and we never sell data.
